MUNICH RE

Annually, Graphic Works is hired by Munich Re, a large international insurance company, to design an employee guide that is distributed to their clients. Along with professional corporate headshots, courtesy of our in-house photographer, each employee is identified with contact information, job descriptions and division. As a client-focused piece, the job requires good design that supports their brand and image. Customers on the other side of the phone have a more personal connection with the members of Munich Re, and that makes good business sense.

It’s also an exercise in logistics. The production for the employee guide starts several months before printing, because every headshot has to be taken in advance. There are close to 150 employees, which means setting up a portable portrait studio at their offices…and negotiating the schedules of busy employees and executives over several weeks. We utilized our in-house staff of photographers to accomplish that.
